Who are we?

Behind each cuvée,
There is a committed and enthusiastic team

Founder

François Dauvergne

“My roots are half in Bordeaux, where I spent my youth, and half on the land of Saint-Polycarpe near Limoux, where my family had a wine estate. To finance my studies in business school, I sold wines door-to-door. From there was born my passion for the world of wine. I worked for big houses in Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône Valley before creating Dauvergne and Ranvier.”

Founder - Agricultural and wine engineer

Jean-François Ranvier

“Born in the middle of the vineyards in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, I was initially passionate about geology. I finally became an oenologist after getting a degree in agricultural engineering in Montpellier. I managed a consulting oenology laboratory, then I was responsible for winemaking in a house in the Rhône Valley, before joining forces with François Dauvergne, whom I have known since 1996.”

Our values are linked to our history,
a story that we wrote from scratch.

Liberty

Freedom to create the wines we dreamed of.

Integrity

We do what we say and we say what we do.

Generosity

We like to share our gustatory emotions with those who drink our wines.

Our ambition

To be the warmest wine brand.

Create and share

Like a chef imagines new recipes, every year we create new cuvees on new appellations.

We work without borders. The Rhône Valley is our cradle but over time, we have established friendly relationships with winemakers in other regions and especially in Bordeaux.

We chose not to buy vines but to partner with winemakers. They own the vineyard and we have our know-how, our “sleight of hand”. This know-how has been acquired during more than thirty years of work in multiple wine regions and with numerous winemakers.

As a great restaurant owner selects fruits and vegetables from producers, we choose from winemakers the grapes that will make up our cuvees. We support producers throughout the year and share our ideas with them over time. At harvest time, we help them determine the right harvest date. We guide the vinifications as much as possible in each of the cellars. If barrels are needed to age wines, we buy them and make them available to winemakers free of charge.

This way of working is as unique as the wines it produces. It is based on creation and sharing

Our style

The fruit

Wines must express themselves generously from the first nose.

The roundness

The tannins are soft and coated.

Freshness

It's a challenge in the south of France, but we want our wines to have a fresh, clean finish.

The entire range is now perfectly recognizable with absolute pleasure wine models, with no competition in this price segment.
